As you know, the PTO is holding an auction in the spring to raise money for the school.  This year, funds are being used to extend the availability of educational technology to many, many more classrooms at Pine Grove School.  The monies raised by fundraisers such as this March Madness auction are very important to the school and are much-appreciated by students and teachers alike.

Each class is assembling a gift basket that will be auctioned off on the March 26th event.  Our class has chosen a “manly” theme; items will have a male-oriented theme, such as tools, guy films, sports items, BBQ stuff, gift cards to home improvement stores, etc.  So far, our basket is rather empty, so I’m writing to you to see if you can help us out!  Our basket is due by March 15th, and I know that we can auction off an impressive basket!  Please consider donating to our basket.  Even easy things such as gift cards to iTunes or the sports memorabilia store on Rt. 1o (I forget the name) or other simple items would help!

Your homework tonight is to play, play, play!  On a recent snow day, I asked you to play a game called Rags to Riches in which you worked on editing and revising.  I have a new version of the game for you to try this evening.  This time, you’re focusing on pronouns – something we’ve worked on quite a lot over the past few weeks!  Play it, have fun, and if you make a mistake, try the game again until you win!  No need to print anything or email me any scores.
